Joan is the Founder and Director of Leggz Ltd. Dance, Rockville Centre, NY, and she is the Associate Publisher of Schneps Media, Dans Papers, Long Island Press, AM New York, and Manhattan Papers.

Joan has a long history of serving her community through her involvement in the Madison Theatre at Molloy University, Nassau County Parks, Old Westbury Gardens, Rise Life Services, Rockville Centre Lions Club, RVC Blue Speaks, and the Rockville Centre Guild of the Arts.

Joan's honors include: Molloy University Community Leadership Award, NYS Woman of Distinction, Town of Hempstead Pathfinder Award, the United Cerebral Palsy Shining Star, United Cerebral Palsy Greenberg Torch of Leadership, Rockville Centre Lions Honoree Dinner In The Dark, Long Island Press Power Woman in Business, and the Association of Fundraising Professionals Outstanding Fundraising Volunteer Award.
