Maggie Wolfendale-Morley, BOARD MEMBER
Maggie Wolfendale Morley is a third-generation horsewoman who grew up in the world of horse racing. She has a deep understanding of the community of people who care for our equine athletes. A mother to Grace and Willow, Maggie understands the value and importance of the Belmont Child Care Association, Inc. first hand.
Growing up in Maryland, on the backside of Laurel Park, Maggie considered the barn her second home, where her parents ran a stable of about 20 horses. She spent her childhood days showing ponies, and later going on to gallop horses. Upon graduating from Towson University with a degree in public relations and broadcasting, she worked as an on-air analyst for the Maryland Jockey Club, Colonial Downs, and in her current role at the New York Racing Association, Inc., where she has been since 2010. Maggie currently serves as a host, analyst, and reporter for the NYRA produced show “America’s Day at the Races” and “Saratoga Live” for Fox Sports.
Maggie continues to stay very hands on with the horses, having served as an exercise rider and assistant for her husband Tom Morley. She has also retired and retrained several former runners for second careers. Currently she is working with multiple stakes winning Louisiana-bred, Ninety One Assault.
