NICK CARAS, BOARD MEMBER

A ubiquitous sight on the backstretch, Nick worked for the New York Racing Association before becoming the program director for the Racetrack Chaplaincy in New York. Aware of the need for child care from his work at the racetrack, he was involved in early discussions about a child care center and joined the BCCA board several years after it was established. He brings a deep knowledge of the racetrack world and the backstretch community to the BCCA and serves on the organization’s Scholarship Committee.
